This was the apparent third low bid and included: Side loader refuse truck $ 198, 575. 00 Extended ( 5) year warranty on transmission $ 425. 00 Trade- in allowance ($ 5, 000. 00) Total $ 194, 000. 00 The apparent low bid, from Truck Equipment Sales of Pensacola, Florida, was non- responsive and included an Autocar chassis with a Bridgeport side loader body. The Bridgeport side loader body did not meet specifications: Specifications required an adjustable sweep blade for moving the waste from the hopper bin to the packer; the bid was for a continuous sweep blade, which will cause excessive wear on the equipment. Specifications required a 33 cubic yard packer body; the bid was for a 32 cubic yard body. The apparent second low bid, from Ingram Equipment of Pelham, Alabama, was non- responsive and included a Condor chassis with a Heil side loader body.
