BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: May 19, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Ed Schroeder SUBJECT: Mayor Mike Reappointment DEPARTMENT: Tourist Development Department BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Apprising the Board of the City of Fort Walton Beach’s reappointment of Mike Anderson to the Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council. BACKGROUND: Pursuant to F.S. 125.0104(4)(e), two members of the council shall be elected municipal officials, at least one of whom shall be from the most populous municipality in the county or subcounty special taxing district in which the tax is levied. Currently the cities of Fort Walton Beach and Destin are represented. The City of Fort Walton Beach has reappointed Mayor Mike Anderson to fill the municipality’s seat on the Tourist Development Council until March 31, 2017. A recommendation from the TDC is not necessary for the appointment of an elected municipal official. OPTIONS: n/a RECOMMENDATION: For informational purposes only; no action required.
