STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The BCC is requested to approve Task Order No. 23 with AVCON
for professional Construction Phase Services for the West Hangar Area Public Parking project at
Bob Sikes Airport in the amount of $139,070.00.
BACKGROUND: Bids were received for the West Hangar Area Public Parking Project on
April 30, 2013. This project generally consists of a 65-space asphalt parking lot, concrete
sidewalks, parking lot lighting, drainage and utility improvements. This Task Order authorizes
AVCON to perform construction administration services and inspection services to determine in
general if such work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents.
OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve Task Order No. 23 with AVCON, INC. in the amount of
$139,070.00.
