TOURIST DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: November 3, 2016 TO: Tourist Development Council FROM: Darrel Jones, Interim Tourist Development Department Director Charlotte Dunworth, Finance, Administration, & Compliance Manager SUBJECT: French in Florida interlocal agreement amendment STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to amend the interlocal agreement for the French in Florida exhibit, City of Fort Walton Beach contract C16-2453-TDD, for the provision of Panama City airport advertising. BACKGROUND: A three-year Panama City airport advertising plan ($150/month) was previously approved within last year's Obscured by Time exhibit agreement. However, the County cannot reimburse in advance of services being received. Therefore, airport advertising for June - September 2016 was reimbursed under the Obscured by Time interlocal agreement, and the French in Florida interlocal agreement is being amended to include October 2016 – September 2017. This amendment increases the total funding for French in Florida by $1,800 to $9,300. Pursuant to section E.300 of the TDD Manual, the Council shall review and provide a recommendation for all proposed contracts requiring Board approval and expenditure of tourist development tax dollars. OPTIONS: Approve or Deny RECOMMENDATION TO BCC: Approve amending the interlocal agreement for the French in Florida exhibit, City of Fort Walton Beach contract C16-2453-TDD, for the provision of Panama City airport advertising in the amount of $1,800.
