Consideration of Ordinance (1730) of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, amending Section 4. 04. 02, entitlement, of the Code of Ordinances to establish an additional homestead exemption of $50, 000 for certain persons who have attained the age of sixty-five and whose household income does not exceed $ 24, 214; providing for authority; and providing an effective date. ( City Manager) ( Second Reading) ( See Backup). 2. Consideration of Resolution (07- 09) amending the Golf Club Section of the Comprehensive Fee Schedule; and establishing an effective date. Consideration of the need to procure an independent agency to study and report on the different legally acceptable methods for executing the General Employees' Retirement Fund, and the Police and Fire Pension Funds/ Plans. The resolution had intended to also automatically increase fees on June 1, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Discussion: At the Special Meeting held on May 15, 2007, Council and staff discussed the benefits of implementing the fee increase as scheduled, and the benefits of not implementing the fee increase. It was the consensus of Council that it was in the best interest of the Golf Club to not increase the fees at this time. Recommendation: Respectfully request approval of Resolution 07- 09 amending the Golf Club Section of the Fee Schedule.
