provided at all times. The mayor, each council member and all of the City' s senior staff will have my cell phone and will be able to contact me directly, twenty -four hours day or night. It is my policy to return all telephone calls the same business day as when the telephone call is placed. I will also make this available to all committee members for the various committees created by the City. 3. Every city official or staffperson will receive the utmost in courtesy, cooperation and respect. Moreover, I believe I have the skill to handle virtually all of the routine legal issues that arise from day to day and I am sure that if I do not know the answer that I will find the answer or find someone who can provide the answer and do so promptly. 4. As set forth in my cover letter, my experience is both broad and deep. I welcome a vigorous, nomination and confirmation dialogue with not only the mayor and city council, but also with the staff that I will be supporting on a daily basis. 5. I cannot guarantee you that I am the best at every issue that will be presented to the City and therefore to me, but I can guarantee you this. I am quite capable, I believe I can provide you the kind of services that will leave you not only satisfied but impressed. In fact, impressing each of you with my ability to deliver quality legal services will be my goal. I believe my drive, intellect; instincts, congeniality and ethics will combine to present a good legal services delivery mechanism to you. My staff is small, just myself and Shari Bindley my assistant, and occasional part time assistance, but we get the job done, we get it done promptly and courteously and typically with good results. My relief attorney is a good friend and colleague Wesley Fontaine. 5. From time to time there may be work that is outside the scope of services in the contract that I hope we will be executing. Ifthis happens, I would be grateful for the opportunity to accept this work at my regular billable rate, if it is within my expertise. This will be of benefit to my firm and will allow the City to still utilize my capable skills and those ofmy staff. 6. I would ask that an annual stipend up to $ 2,000.00 per year be provided for professional development. This is the same amount that was provided in the previous city attorney' s contract. If travel outside the county is required I wish to be reimbursed for mileage, lodging, meals and reasonable incidentals; of course, I will provide receipts. 7. Regarding reimbursable expenses here is what I propose: ( i) copies fifty cents per page; ( ii) postage reimbursement as required; ( iii) court reporter fees as necessary; ( iv) other miscellaneous related expenses to be discussed as they arise. 8. Attached to the original proposal is a sample of a previous land use matter that I worked on that involved in depth analysis and coordination with city and county officials from another region from Florida. Unfortunately, the document does not lend itself to production of multiple copies and I would be grateful for its return once the evaluation process is completed. 9. Finally, I would consider it an honor and a privilege to be your next city attorney. Respectfully Submitted, D. Craig Tingle D.
