BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: June 7, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: FDEP Agreement# S0834, Amendment No. 1 DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: ALL STATEMENT OF ISSUE: PW staff is in receipt of Amendment No. 1 (attached) to Agreement# S0834 under the annual Hazardous Waste Cooperative Collection Center Arrangement Grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). BACKGROUND: The original agreement was approved by the Board in September, 2015. Since then PW staff has requested a reallocation of $20,000 from Contractual expenses to Salaries by way of an FDEP amendment. This was the result of cost saving measures instituted by HHW personnel, which reduced the estimated contractual costs related to the disposal/treatment of hazardous waste. All costs are on a reimbursable basis. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove RECOMMENDATIONS: That the Board of County Commissioners authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment No. 1, FDEP Agreement# S0834 for the Household Hazardous Waste Cooperative and all subsequent documentation pertaining to this agreement. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
