BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: November 5, 2013
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Elliot Kampert
SUBJECT: Amend Agreement C11-1900-GM
DEPARTMENT: Growth Management
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: In order to continue utilize the SHIP funds allocated in FY 11/12
and FY 12/13 until June 2015 as allowed by the SHIP program, it is necessary to extend
Agreement C11-1900-GM.
BACKGROUND: Agreement C11-1900-GM expired on June 30, 2013. During the time
leading up to the 30th, it was intended that the use of the 11/12 and 12/13 SHIP allocations
would be included as part of the new agreement with the SHIP administrator procured pursuant
to a request for qualifications, and so the contract was allowed to expire. However, due to the
fact that the two allocations in question fall under an older version of the County Local Housing
Assistance Plan, and that the allocations themselves have slightly different criteria, it has been
determined that the existing Agreement should be extended.
The attached Amendment extends the expiration date until June 30, 2015, and adds a new
Exhibit B to the Agreement. The new Exhibit B is mandated by section 67-37.019(11) of the
Florida Administrative Code.
OPTIONS: Approve or not approve the proposed Amendment.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends that the Board approve the proposed Amendment
to C11-1900-GM.
