The Resolution provided for amendment of the fee schedule by Resolution of City Council. Certain fees may require adoption by Ordinance if language in the Code needs to be amended. Discussion Attached hereto is the City's Comprehensive Fee Schedule, a detailed listing of City services and programs with existing and proposed rates. Existing fees are stricken -through and proposed fees are underlined. Changes are summarized below: New Fees 1. The Replace Meter Fees covers the labor and materials to replace an existing water meter or box. It typically takes one to two hours of staff time to replace a meter, and the meters range in cost from $ 80. 00 for 3/ inch to $ 350. 00 for 2 inch. 2. tilitv Deposits —p. 19 Residential and Commercial: Hydrant Meter Deposit 1,1, 000.000. 0000 This new fee is necessary because the City provides new developments with fire hydrant meters in order to measure the amount of water used during construction. At times, hydrant meters have disappeared from these developments and without a deposit, the City has no means of holding the contractor responsible for the meter. By requiring a Hydrant Meter Deposit of $ 1, 000, the City This fee is capable of replacing any meter that is damaged or stolen from a development. includes the cost to replace a hydrant meter
