BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: October 4, 2016
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Zan Fedorak
SUBJECT: Request approval of the Harris amendment and renewal
DEPARTMENT: Purchasing
BCC DISTRICT: ALL
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the Harris System Maintenance Agreement
Amendment No. 1. (C15-2240-PS)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The County currently has a contract with Harris to provide
repair and maintenance services for the Public Safety computer equipment. The contract will
expire on November 19, 2016; however, the contract has a one (1) year optional renewal. Staff
and the contractor desire to exercise the renewal of the contract for an additional year. Recent
legislative action requires that language regarding public records requests be added to all
contracts that will be valid after July 1, 2016. Staff is incorporating the language as an
amendment and including the contract renewal option within the document. Staff requests
approval of the Amendment and renewal to extend the contract to November 19, 2017 and also
requests authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the Harris System Maintenance Agreement Amendment No. 1. and
authorize the Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the Harris System Maintenance
Agreement Amendment No. 1. and authorize the Chairman to sign the document.
