AUTHORIZATION TO TRANSFER FIXED ASSET DATE: February 2, 2016 TO: John Hofstad FROM: Jeff Littrell SUBJECT: Request to transfer an Air Source C.A.R.T. (Continuous Air Resource Transport) System to Shalimar Fire Department DEPARTMENT: Water and Sewer The Water & Sewer Department requests authorization to transfer an Air Source C.A.R.T. system to the Shalimar Fire Department. The Water & Sewer Department currently maintains this system as a fixed asset (Property # 9978588) and is noted as “loaned” to the OK Rescue at the Shalimar fire Department. (see attached) The Air Source C.A.R.T. system is a compact mobile portable air source unit designed to provide a surface air system for rescue firefighters who are operating in a contaminated atmosphere. This system was originally purchase to equipment fire departments with resources for rescue operations in case of a chlorine leak. The value of this unit when purchased was $3,673.00. If approved, the Shalimar Fire Department will gain ownership and the item will be removed from the fixed asset listing.
