STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Okaloosa County Department of Corrections wishes to renew the
subject contract, #C12-1962-COR for an additional one year term.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Department of Corrections submitted a request for proposals in
FY12 for the inmate food service contract. ABL Management, Inc. was awarded the contract. The
contract allows for 3 one year renewals the first renewal beginning October 1, 2013 to September 30,
2014. The second renewal beginning October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. ABL Management has
requested a 2.1% increase in the per meal price consistent with the contract and the Producer Price Index
report for March 2014 and is reflected in the chart below.
