This vehicle will be transferred to the Building and Zoning Code Enforcement Officer who is currently using a vehicle borrowed from the Police Department. This vehicle was approved to be purchased in the 06/ 07 budget. DISCUSSION: Pursuant to City of Walton Beach Code of Ordinance, Volume II, Chapter Fort 4, Section 4. 01, Paragraph 4. 01. 025 and the Purchasing policies and procedures, request authorization purchase one ( l) Compact Pickup Truck under the provisions of the Florida Sheriff' s Association contractt from Orville Beckford Ford in Miltont Florida for a total cost of $ 12, 177. 00. Money for this vehicle has been budgeted in the 2006- 2007 fiscal year budget. The truck as ordered is the 4 Cylinder model due to the lower cost of this version. The $ 12, 177. 00 price reflects spray on bed liner to protect the bed from scratches which would lead to premature a tool box to rusting, provide dry storage, rainshields, shop manuals as required by the City Garage, power window and door locks and $ 200. 00 discount for the 4 Cylinder model.
