STATEMENT OF ISSUE: A request has been received from the Town of Cinco Bayou
requesting an allocation of $15,000.00 from the FY16 Florida Boating Improvement funds. The
funds are for the Sea Way Street boat launch improvements.
BACKGROUND: A request from the Town of Cinco Bayou has been received for the use of
Florida Boating Improvement funds for the following repairs to the Sea Way Street boat launch:
replace the seawall to the left of the boat launch to prevent further erosion, repair the existing 4
launch walls, expand the 3 existing docks, road repairs, and possible repaving.
The Town of Cinco Bayou received $15,000.00 in funds for FY15 (Agreement Number OKBP-
1040). The Town has asked that these funds be rolled over and combined with the requested
FY16 funding of $15,000.000 for a total of $30,000.00. The rollover of funding for one (1) year
is consistent with County procedures. These funds are paid on a reimbursement basis only.
Project Agreement OKBP-1041 for FY16 has been prepared and requires execution by the Board
of County Commissioners. The agreement has been approved and executed by the Town
Manager, Town Attorney, and Town Clerk of Cinco Bayou. The agreement was routed through
the Contract & Lease Internal Coordination process and approved by Purchasing, Risk
Management, and the County Attorney.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove appropriation of $15,000 in Florida Boating Improvement
funds for the Town of Cinco Bayou for FY16.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve and authorize the Chairman to sign Project Agreement
OKBP-1041 in the amount of $15,000.00 for FY16 for the Town of Cinco Bayou. Approve the
$15,000.00 funded for FY15 to roll over and be combined with the FY16 funding for a total of
$30,000.00. This Project Agreement (OKBP-1040) will expire one year from its execution date.
