BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: May 17, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Gap Creek 319 Grant Task Order Extension (C06-1346-PW, TO 65) DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: 4 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Due to additional time that was required in preparing the RFB and bidding out the Gap Creek 319 project, the parent contract and task order needs to be extended to allow for final invoicing by the design consultant. BACKGROUND: Task Order 65 with HDR Engineering, Inc. (Contract #C06-1346-PW) was extended in 2013 with an end date of March 31, 2015. Due to grant requirements and the time needed to prepare and bid out the project, additional time is requested to allow for final invoicing which will extend the current contract and task order end date to September 30, 2016. This request is for additional time only and does not increase the original Not-To-Exceed amount of $125,133.27. Approval of this request amends the contract termination date by providing an additional extension and will reflect the specific task order (TO 65) requiring the additional time. Task Order 65 will be completed as written and paid at the rates so established under the parent contract from which the task order was written. No new work will be assigned under the task order and the parent contract will expire when work under the assigned task order is completed. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the extension of Contract C06-1346-PW, Task Order 65 to September 30, 2016 for Design and Engineering Services.
