not meet specifications because the fertilizer submitted contained sulfur
coated urea as the slow release portion of the nitrogen, and our
specifications required a tri -coat or polymer coated urea as the slow release
portion of the nitrogen. Third low bidder Spencer Turf, did not supply
information regarding product ingredients and therefore did not meet
specifications. Recommend award item # 1 to Regal Chemical
Specification # 2- Low bidder John Deere Landscapes did not meet
specifications due to muriate of potash contained in fertilizer submitted as
the potassium source, and our specifications require all sulfate of potash as
the potassium source. Second low bidder Advanced Lawn did not meet
specifications due to sulfur coated urea contained in fertilizer submitted as
the slow release portion of the nitrogen. Our specifications require a tri -coat
or polymer coated urea as the slow release portion of the nitrogen.
Recommend award item #2 to Regal Chemical
