BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: April 19, 2016 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Tracy Stage SUBJECT: Michael Baker International Name Change and Lease Renewal DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Airports Department requests the Board of County Commissioners' approval of a name change from Michael Baker, Jr., Inc. to Michael Baker International and approval of a lease renewal for office space at the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. BACKGROUND: On June 23, 2014 the Board approved Michael Baker Jr.'s office lease in the Baldwin Building at the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. Michael Baker Jr., Inc. requests to change the company name to Michael Baker International and exercise its last renewal option. The new lease expiration date will be June 22, 2017. The internal coordination sheet and their certificate of insurance is attached. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve the Michael Baker International name change and lease renewal as described above. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
