ADOPTING THE I.: UDGET FOR CERTAIN EXPEN J} ITURES, EXPENSES, AND CAPIITAL
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF FOI': T WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR I:, EGINNING OCTOI„ ER
1, 2023 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2024; AM) PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency ( CRA) of the City of Fort Walton
Beach is a dependent special district with the City Council sitting as the CRA Board of
Commissioners( CRA Board); and
WHEREAS, Section 189.016(3) of the Florida Statutes specifies that a governing body
of a special district shall adopt a budget via resolution each fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the CRA Board has reviewed the proposed budget, finds that it is a balanced
budget, and desires to approve and adopt the annual CRA budget for Fiscal Year 2023- 24 of
2,978,305. 00.
NOW, THE(' EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY
I•: EDEVELOPMENT AGENCY I: OARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
FO"' T WALTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section L Purpose
Prior to the beginning of a new fiscal year, the Community Redevelopment Agency
CRA) Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort Walton Beach is required to approve and
adopt a budget for the operation of the CRA.
The CRA Board of Commissioners held a public budget meeting on September 12, 2023,
to discuss the FY 2023- 24 CRA budget.
Section 2. Adoption of Budget
The budget is being presented as a balanced budget whereby there are sufficient revenues
to offset all estimated expenditures or expenses. All budget appropriations are based upon the
total expenditure and/ or expenses even though the budget has been prepared based on line items
and summarized to a categorical level.
The total amount of the FY 2023- 24 CRA budget is $ 2, 978, 305. 00.
Section 3. Effective Date
This resolution shall become effective on and after October 1, 2023.
