Villani SUBJECT: Agreement to Continue Veterans' Court Coordinator Position DEPARTMENT: Public Safety BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the agreement to continue the Veterans' Court Coordinator position for the period of July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015, with funds from the State of Florida Award allocation. BACKGROUND: The Okaloosa County Veterans' Court was awarded $150,000.00 from the State of Florida to use during the current fiscal year (July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015). Request approval to utilize the funds from the State of Florida Award allocation to continue the Veterans' Court Coordinator full-time position for the period July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015. The full-time status will include FICA, retirement, workers' compensation, leave accrual, holidays, and health/life/dental benefits. Initial funding will be charged 100% to the Judicial Innovations Fund and the fund will be reimbursed by the State of Florida Award monies as outlined in the contract. The amount of funding will be approximately $52,398.76. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove. RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the agreement for the funding of court personnel between the First Judicial Circuit of Florida and Okaloosa County, Florida.
