STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Risk Management seeks authorization to issue a request for
proposals for third party administration of property, liability and worker’s compensation claims.

BACKGROUND: Third party administration of property, liability and worker’s compensation
claims is currently being provided by John’s Eastern Company. John’s Eastern has provided this
service since 10/1/2004. This contract was last bid in 2004.
We also request the following selection committee be appointed:
Gary R. Real - Risk Management
Paul Lawson - Corrections
Krystal King - Risk Management
GinNeal McVay - Human Resources
Dave Parisot - County Commissioner liaison
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the issuance of a Request for Proposals for third party
administration of property, liability and worker’s compensation claims and approve selection
committee members.
