STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Department of Corrections requests the Board authorize the
Chairman to execute a one-year contract renewal with no price increase for the subject contract,
#C12-1962-COR, and Contract Amendment #3 to reflect changes recommended by legal staff
with ABL Management, Inc for inmate food service at the jail.
BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County Department of Corrections submitted a request for
proposals in FY12 for the inmate food service contract. ABL Management, Inc. was awarded
the contract. The original contract allows for three 1 - year renewals. This third renewal will be
effective October 1, 2015 through September 30, 2016. Amendment #3 to the contract simply
incorporates changes recommended by legal staff.
