SUBJECT: Request Public Hearing for Parkview Road Townhomes MSBU

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request to schedule a public hearing on September 17, 2013 to
gather input regarding creation of the Parkview Townhomes Municipal Services Benefit Unit
(MSBU).
BACKGROUND AND ANALYSIS: The property owners of Parkview Road Townhomes
desire to create a MSBU which will provide street lighting for their townhomes. There are 10
townhomes within the boundary of the proposed MSBU. Letters representing approval have
been received from 8 of the 10 property owners which represent a 80% approval to create the
MSBU. (51% approval is required by policy.) Only one property owner has expressed a vote
against creation of the MSBU.

OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve public hearing to receive comments regarding creation of
the Parkview Road Townhomes MSBU.
