BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: November 17, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Don Vanderhoek SUBJECT: World Fiber Technologies, Inc. Final Payment DEPARTMENT: Information Technology BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Board is requested to approve a final payment in the amount of $34,929.37 on Contract #C10-1838-IS with World Fiber Technologies, Inc. BACKGROUND: The Board had previously approved Contract #C10-1838-IS with World Fiber Technologies, Inc. for maintenance of the fiber optic network. The Third Amendment to this contract allowed for the contract to be extended for the completion of several task orders with an anticipated task order completion date of July 31, 2015. Due to various construction delays and the relocation of numerous County offices some of the work associated with Task Order #20 was completed in September. The fifth paragraph of the Third Amendment to this contract states "This contract will terminate upon the completion of all work associated with these task orders or September 1, 2015, whichever is later". Our interpretation of this statement was that work on Task Order #20 could continue until completion in September. Therefore, staff requests the Board's approval of this as the final invoice against this contract. This has been through the Purchasing review process.
