City of Fort Walton Beach Police Department America’s most Beautiful Beaches 7 Hollywood Boulevard NE, Fort Walton Beach, Florida 32548 (850) 833-9547 - Fax (850) 833-9563 TDD (850) 833-9925 Ted Litschauer, Chief of Police CSL - 3380 January 19,2016 Mr. John Hofstad, Okaloosa County Administrator 1250 North Eglin Parkway Suite 102 Shalimar, FL 32579 Re: Transfer of Surplus Property Dear Mr. Hofstad: The Fort Walton Beach Police Department is in need of a vehicle to support its mission to protect the citizens of our community during High Risk Incidents. Our current vehicle is inoperable and unsafe for use. The Fort Walton Beach Police Department requests a transfer of county surplus property, specifically a used ambulance, to our agency for this use. We believe that a used ambulance would meet our needs, benefiting our officers and the community we serve. If approved, the ambuiance would be used for supporting our Tactical Response Team during high risk incidents and enhanced training. [f the transfer is approved, the City of Fort Walton Beach Police Department will be responsible for any applicable transfer fees. Thank you, for your consideration in this matter. Respectfully, Ted Litschauer, Chief of Police Michael Beedie, City Manager 01-27-16A08:01 RCVD
