SUBJECT: Special Event Permit - Niceville Assembly Beach Party

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Niceville Assembly Church is requesting the use of Ross Marler
Park for a beach party.
BACKGROUND: County Ordinance #13-07 (regulation of county recreational areas, including
parks and beaches) addresses Special Events at county parks, beaches or recreational areas
within Okaloosa County.
A request has been received from Niceville Assembly Church for use of Ross Marler Park for a
church beach party. The event will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. Approximately 150 people are expected to attend this event.
OPTIONS: Approve / Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Request Board approval for a Special Event Permit to utilize Ross
Marler Park for a church beach party as submitted by Niceville Assembly Church.
