BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: July 21, 2015
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Paul Lawson
SUBJECT: Intermedix WebEOC Maintenance and Support Renewal
DEPARTMENT: Public Safety
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval to pay ESi Acquisition, Inc., for continued
support of the WebEOC system in the amount of $16,720.
BACKGROUND: During disaster and large scale emergencies, it is imperative that critical
information is tracked and shared with numerous users. WebEOC is the disaster management
data system utilized by Okaloosa County to track all information dealing with disaster response.
The system is internet based, which allows agencies both inside and outside of the EOC to
collaborate and share critical information. ESi Acquisitions is the entity which developed and
maintains the system. In order to receive updates and technical support from ESi Acquisition, an
annual software support renewal is required. The service is scheduled to start on July 1 each
year and is paid for from funds received in the EMPA and EMPG grants. This year's grant
paperwork was received late by the County and requires direct payment to continue service for
the period of July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016.
OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Recommend approval of direct payment to ESi Acquisitions, Inc., in
the amount of $16,720.
