STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Department of Growth Management requests that the Board
authorize the submission of the FY15 FTA 5307 Grant in TEAM.
BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners held a Public Hearing on the Grant's
proposed Program of Projects (POP) on October 21, 2014. The POP listed the proposed Capital
projects and Operating funds for the FY15 5307 Grant. Growth Management did not receive any
comments from the public or other stakeholders on the POP during the public comment period
which ended December 5th, 2014, at which time, the published POP became final. As stated in
the grant application, the required local match will be provided through a combination of state,
block, and local funds.
OPTIONS: Approve or deny permission to submit the 5307 Grant Application for Public
Transit Funds.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The Department recommends that the Board approve the submission
of the FY15 FTA 5307 Grant application in TEAM and allow the office of contracts and grants
to use an electronic pin number certifying the Chairman’s signature on the application and all
future grant documents including award documents during the term of the grant.
