BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
AGENDA REQUEST
DATE: August 6, 2013
TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board
FROM: Dr. Karen Chapman, Okaloosa County Department of Health
SUBJECT: Visitor - Dr. Karen Chapman
After Public Health did not receive $500,000 in funding through the State legislature for the
department’s renovation project, sections of the project were carved out that could receive
funding out of the existing budget. However, a fixed capital outlay (FCO) request of
approximately $375,000 dollars in general revenue for Fiscal Year 2015 is needed in order to
complete the renovations. The process to request FCO dollars involves getting agreement from
the Board to allow for the renovation with state general revenue.
