REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL STREETLIGHT FOR OKALOOSA ISLAND MSBU A request has been made for an additional streetlight for the far West End of Santa Rosa Blvd. on the north side of the street. This was made by a resident of the area. The closest light to the area we are requesting for is approximately 200’ east. Originally there was a light at the area we are requesting for. However, the Air Force had a guard house and entrance gate at that location. They moved the guard house and no longer have use for the light. That pole and fixture actually are on Air Force property. They explained to our contact with Gulf Power that they no longer need the light. They did add barrier walls to the location of the old guard house which is dark and appears to have the potential for traffic accidents. Gulf Power already has one of their poles (without a light on it) in that area and could be used to add a 100 watt serpanthead bulb. There would be a monthly charge of approximately $8.00 a month. We would also be charged approximately $168.00 one time fee for legal notices. OILA and its MSBU subcommittee have discussed this with no objections expressed and agree that the addition of this light could help in visual recognition of the barrier area and prevent accidents. 4 Request by Mr.R. Beaudoin, 909 Santa Rosa Blvd. FWB Contact: M. Bednar, OILA MSBU Subcommittee Member Liaison for Okaloosa County: Mrs.Amy Allen NOTE: This letter was received from Fred (Tripp) Tolbert, President of Okaloosa Island Leaseholders Association.
