Greetings operational TFM partner,
The 287(g) TFM stipend program for operational LEAs has been significantly enhanced for
2026.
Major changes include:
1. The equipment stipend of$ 7, 500 per credentialed Task Force officer( TFO), is now a
quarterly incentive available for operational LEAs to request beginning the first day of
each calendar quarter( January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1; starting January 1, 2026).*
2. A new Information Technology( IT) stipend of$ 7,500 per credentialed TFO is a new
quarterly incentive, available starting January 1, 2026.*
3. A bank account confirmation letter is now required for payment of stipends via wire
transfer.
4. All of a LEA' s TFOs must have a completed and signed ICE Form 70- 006 on file with ICE
for the LEA to qualify for either stipend.
Please note incentives are not guaranteed and will be awarded based on a LEA' s
continued engagement in purposeful and intentional immigration enforcement
activities. Incentives will be distributed as long as funding remains available. We will
communicate any changes to funding status as soon as possible.
The bank account confirmation letter is now required for payment via wire transfer and is a
one- time request unless your agency' s bank information changes. This requirement will
expedite payments and reduce failed wire transactions. The bank account confirmation letter
must be on your bank' s letterhead, and include:
Beneficiary account name( which may differ from your agency' s name)
Account number
The bank' s ABA routing number( not ACH number)
The bank' s incoming wire transfer fee
For a LEA to be compliant with the Task Force Model Memorandum of
Agreement (MOA), and to receive any stipend or reimbursement
payments, all officers who are participating in the TFM program MUST
complete, sign, and submit the ICE Form 70- 006.
This form designates officer authorities under 287(g), and officers are not
eligible to conduct arrests or other immigration authorities until this form is
signed and submitted to ICE. Each officer should complete and submit
their own form to expedite processing.
Please note that if an officer digitally signs the attached form, it can be
submitted automatically to ICE by clicking the " Submit Form" button at the
top or bottom of page 1 . The PDF can be digitally signed only if it is
opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader (not a web browser). Adobe
Acrobat Reader can be downloaded for free HHF, LTy. Once Adobe is
installed, just download or save the 70- 006 PDF to a computer, right-
click on the file, select " Open With" and select " Adobe Acrobat Reader."
This should open the file in Adobe and allow the digital signing and
submission of the form.
If an officer chooses to submit a manually- signed form, the PDF of the
signed form should be emailed to 287gtfmcredentialing@ice 1hs. gov.
That email should be sent from the officer' s email address that was listed
on the SASS form.
