All of the proceeds from this event are donated to the EOD Warrior Foundation. The EOD Warrior foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to our Wounded EOD Warriors and their families in the form of financial relief. The resources provided by the Foundation to the wounded and their families are above and beyond the budgetary constraints of the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Foundation believes that families are an integral part of the healing and rehabilitation process, and strive to keep them together during the most difficult of times. This Foundation greatly enhances the lives of Warriors from all four military services. This year, we will be conducting the EOD Memorial Challenge on the 26" of April 2014, with a start time of 8:05 AM and an estimated finish time of approximately 12:00 noon. We would like to apply for the applicable permits to utilize: Range Rd from the SR 293 bypass construction (end of Eglin AFB property) to the back entrance of Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park, located just north of Bluewater Bay Elementary School. Proceeding through Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park and swimming to the South side of NW State Road 20 at the Hampton Inn. NW State Road 20 from the Hampton Inn to the intersection of Bay Drive. Bay Drive from the intersection of NW State Road 20 through the intersection of Yacht Club Drive to L.J. Schooners Dockside. We will secure the required permits from the Okaloosa County Commissioners Office and the Sheriff's Department. We have applied for our liability insurance with a $1,000,000 aggregate to cover any injuries or property damages with Harris Insurance in Fort Walton Beach, and will name the County and Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park as additional insured. We will have safety vehicles and volunteers posted along the route to provide water and ensure the impediment to traffic flow is minimal. We have also contacted Okaloosa County Sheriff, and they are willing to provide off duty officers to assist us with the traffic flow. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at any time. Thank you for your time, patience and consideration concerning this matter. Respectfully Yours, R NAVSCOLEOD Chief Petty Officers Association 2014 EOD Memorial Challenge Coordinator Cell: (757)470-3890 9t Annual EOD Memorial Challenge AID STATION #1
