SUBJECT: Approval of Smart Policing Grant Concept Paper Submittal
The Sheriff's Office requests ratification of the Vice-Chairman's signature on a Concept Paper
submitted under emergency procedure due to time constraints for an Edward Byrne Memorial
Smart Policing Initiative Grant in the amount of $699,979.00 to provide funding for three
investigators, services and equipment to staff an Economic/Financial Crimes Unit.
We are also requesting approval for the Chairman to sign the related grant application, if
selected, and all future grant documents during the term of the grant.
