favorable interest rates. This replaces the previous Florida Community Bank/Synovus account which was closed due to lack of competitive rates. The Valley National Bank rate is currently 3.80% and moves with changes in the Federal Funds rate. This account is consistent with the Board’s Cash and Investment Management Policy Section 02-06 which was last updated on September 13, 2021, and authorizes the Superintendent and the Chief Financial Officer to open such accounts with subsequent disclosure to the Board. It has been the practice of the District to provide such disclosure in advance of opening such accounts. Consent Our adopted rules of Parliamentary Procedure, Robert's Rules, provide for a consent agenda listing several items for approval of the Board by a single motion. Documentation concerning these items have been provided to all Board members and the public in advance to assure an extensive and thorough review.
