BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: January 6, 2015 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Jason Autrey SUBJECT: Extension of Contract C06-1353-PW - Task Order 44 DEPARTMENT: Public Works BCC DISTRICT: STATEMENT OF ISSUE: An extension for contract C06-1353-PW is needed to complete Task Order administrative activities on the following Task Orders: Task Order 44 - Implementation of FDEP-Approved Remedial Action Plan Modification Task Order 45 - VZA Injection and Extraction Operations BACKGROUND: On 12/6/13, the Chairman executed an amendment to contract C06-1353- PW that included a list of project task orders with programmed work expected to continue beyond the contract expiration date of September 30, 2013. Task Orders 44 and 45 with SCS Engineers were both among the list of task orders extended. All field work and associated reporting tasks have been completed for both Task Order 44 and Task Order 45. However, due to unavoidable project delays, administrative activities could not be completed within the current contract extension time frame. Even with the extension, Task Order 44 Scope of Work expenses will be under the original estimated cost. Task Order 45 expenses will be equivalent to the estimated cost. An extension until February 28, 2015 is requested to complete remaining administrative activities. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove extension of the contract C06-1353-PW - Task Order 44 and Task Order 45. RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends the Board approve the request to extend the term of contract C06-1353-PW for the completion of Task Order 44 and Task Order 45 with SCS Engineers.
