Deputy Sheriff Jason Nobles is submitting this report in reference to an vehicle burglary in which Okaloosa County is the victim. This incident occurred between 12/20/2016 and 01/10/2017. 2/10/2017 11:53 SUPPLEMENT NOBLES, JASON R 237 NOBLESJ 2/10/2017 12:59 Status: APPROVED ESLINGER, EDWARD STERLIN' 2/10/2017 13:12 On 02/10/2017 at 0921 hours I responded to 1804 Lewis Turner Blvd, Fort Walton Beach, FL, (Okaloosa County Water and Sewer Building) in reference to a vehicle burglary already occurred. I arrived on scene and made contact with Jerry Menze in his office. He is the Financial Manager for Okaloosa County Water and Sewer Systems. He advised one of his cmployees, Christopher Owen Pelfrey wanted to report his Okaloosa County worlk laptop stolen. Pelfrey arrived on scene and met with us in the conference room. Pelfrey stated in a sworn affidavit of complaint, on the evening of 12/20/2017 he placed his Okaloosa County issued laptop into the backseat of his black 2004 Ford F-250 bearing FL/L816ZD. He parked his truck in his neighbor’s driveway at 48 8th Street, Shalimar, FL. On 12/21/2017 at 0030 hours Pelfrey discovered his unlocked vehicle had been burglarized and was missing some personal items, but did not report it. On 01/10/2016 at unknown time Pelfrey discovered his work laptop was missing from his personal vehicle. Pelfrey wanted to make sure he did not leave his work laptop in his house or work vehicle so he delayed reporting it stolen. Pelfrey became sick and missed work from 01/24/2017-02/07/2017. When Pelfrey returned to work he reported his work laptop was missing.
