STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Request approval of the lease renewal for Water & Sewer to
maintain a payment drop box at the Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative (Chelco) facility
located at 1401 Cat Mar Road, Niceville. (L13-0401-WS)(District: 5)
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: In August 2013 the Board approved a lease with Chelco to
allow Water & Sewer to maintain a payment drop box at their facility located at 1401 Cat Mar
Road, Niceville. The lease is no cost to the County and will expire on August 31, 2015. There
are renewals available on the lease, therefore, Water & Sewer and Chelco desire to renew the
lease. The renewal will begin on September 1, 2015 and extend through August 31, 2016. Staff
requests approval of the renewal and authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
OPTIONS: Approve/Deny the lease renewal (L13-0401-WS) for Water & Sewer to maintain a
payment drop box at the Chelco facility located at 1401 Cat Mar Road, Niceville and request
authorization for the Chairman to sign the document.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the lease renewal (L13-0401-WS) for
Water & Sewer to maintain a payment drop box at the Chelco facility located at 1401 Cat Mar
