The Northwest Florida Track Club PO Box 911 Shalimar, FL 32579-0911 To: Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners Subject: Round the Bay Relay / Ultra The Northwest Florida Track Club, Inc. (NWFTC) is planning its 4" Annual Round the Bay Relay / Ultra for Dec 27, 2014. We are requesting a permit from Okaloosa County since the race has grown and we will be running along county roads. GOO Am — 0d fr The run starts at Fudpucker’s on the Island and heads east all the way to the Mid-Bay Bridge, over the bridge onto White Point Rd. From there, we continue along Hwy 20 to SR 85 past the airport into Shalimar and Ft Walton Beach. We finish up by going over the Brooks Bridge and along Hwy 98 back to Fudpucker’s on the Island. This year, we expect 60-75 teams and 15 single runners to participate. We stagger the starts times over 2 hours, so all 90 runners will never be running together. There are usually only one or two runners together. The runners will always face traffic, running on sidewalks or the shoulder of the road. We are not requesting any road closures and participants will follow traffic signals where appropriate. Please accept this request for permit. If there are any questions, feel free to contact me at president@nwfic.com or call my cell phone at 850-582-5273. Thank you very much. Sincerely ( ne yN— Brian T.
