STATEMENT OF ISSUE: [PUR] Seeking Board approval to purchase three (3) new 2014 cab
chassis (4x4) dual rear wheel diesel trucks with service bodies, air compressors and inverters.
BACKGROUND & ANALYSIS: The Water & Sewer Department has requested to purchase
three (3) new 2014 cab chassis (4x4) dual rear wheel diesel trucks with service bodies, air
compressors and inverters. Bids were opened on March 26, 2014 and four bids were received.
The lowest bidder meeting specifications was Jarrett Gordon Ford at $65,047 each for a total of
$195,141 for all three vehicles. Funding is available in the Water & Sewer FY14 budget.
OPTIONS: Award or Reject purchase of three (3) new 2014 cab chassis (4x4) dual rear wheel
diesel trucks with service bodies, air compressors and inverters from Jarrett Gordon Ford for
$195,141.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approving purchase of three (3) new 2014 cab
chassis (4x4) dual rear wheel diesel trucks with service bodies, air compressors and inverters
from Jarrett Gordon Ford for $195,141.
