Re: Tax Collector Office on Hurlburt Field
Dear Commissioner Amunds:
The Okaloosa County Tax Collector’s Office will be opening a branch office on Hurlburt Field in
February 2013. We have assisted many of the Hurlburt Field personnel with their transactions over
the years. As their personnel and family numbers have increased significantly during the last few
years, we now consider it a wonderful and needed opportunity to deliver our services for DMV and
Drivers’ License on base.
We also seek the opportunity to provide and conduct County business in this Office. Per Florida
Statute 197.332 (2), the Board of County Commissioners approval is needed to conduct county
business in this branch office. It is our request that this item be placed on the agenda of the February
5" Board of County Commissioners meeting. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
With kind regards,
Benjamm F. Anderson
