SUBJECT: Set Public Hearing for 5307 Grant
DEPARTMENT: Growth Management
BCC DISTRICT: All
STATEMENT OF ISSUE: In order to conduct a public hearing, the Growth Management
department must request that the Board of County Commissioners set the date and time.
BACKGROUND: In order to apply for and receive FTA 5307 Grant Funds for FY15, Okaloosa
County as the Community Transportation Coordinator, must conduct a public hearing to allow
comment on the attached proposed Program of Projects.
OPTIONS: The Board may set the public hearing or not; however, failure to conduct the public
hearing will preclude the county from applying for the funds.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends the Board approve the public hearing for 6:00
p.m. or soon thereafter on October 21st, 2014 to be held in the 3rd floor Commission meeting
chambers of the County administration building located at 1804 Lewis Turner Blvd in Fort
Walton Beach, FL.
