BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: January 17, 2017 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Tracy Stage SUBJECT: New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T) Lease Agreement DEPARTMENT: Airport BCC DISTRICT: 2 STATEMENT OF ISSUE: The Airports Department is requesting approval by the Board of County Commissioners of the proposed new Lease Agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T) for cellular service in the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. BACKGROUND: New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T) requests to install an in-building distributed antenna system (DAS) and will use the leased premises for operation and maintenance of the DAS to provide cellular service to their customers at the Destin - Fort Walton Beach Airport. AT&T will be paying the Airport for this privilege at the rate of $500.00/month for a total of $6,000.00 annually. The contract and lease internal coordination sheet is attached along with AT&T's certificate of insurance. OPTIONS: Approve, Reject or Table. RECOMMENDATIONS: It is Staff's recommendation that the Board approve New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (AT&T) Lease Agreement as described above. RECOMMENDED BY: APPROVED BY: John Hofstad, County Administrator
