STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Bids were opened on September 19, 2013. Bids were received from five (5)
companies (see attached). Vanderheyden Inc. (Navarre, FL) is the low bidder meeting
specifications in the amount of $107,888.00.
BACKGROUND: This project consists of removing and replacing the existing metal roof. The
existing roof was constructed in 1994 and is leaking in places. Funding is in the FY 2013/2014
budget.
OPTIONS: Award or Reject
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends awarding to Vanderheyden Inc they being the low
bidder meeting specifications in the amount of $107,888.00 and authorize the Chairman to sign
the contract.
