Re: Neighborhood Stabilization Program Funding Increase
Contract Number: IODB-4X-Ol-56-0l-F 18
Dear Chairman Amunds:
I am writing in response to the County's request for additional funds should any become available
to begin construction of the land banked property known as Palm Village. In recognition of the timely
completion of the projects associated with your Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP1) allocation,
the Department of Economic Opportunity would like to offer you the funds needed to begin construction
of the first phase of the Palm Village Townhomes. This letter serves as official notification of an
additional award of$301,917.73 ofprogram funds and $413,194.04 ofprogram income.
An environmental review will not need to be completed since a review of your file indicates that
the multi-family property to be addressed with the additional funds is covered under your previously
completed Specified Site Strategy.
It will be necessary to amend your current contract to $3,560,352.73 to include the additional
program funds, including a revised budget and activity work plan that covers the proposed project. The
program income funds will be forwarded to you upon completion of the contract amendment.
We appreciate the effort that your community has made and look forward to bringing your
projects to successful completion. Please contact Jeannie Russell at 850-717-8440 or
jeannie.russell@deo.myflorida.com if you have questions or need additional information.
Sincerely,
~~
