We received some very competitive pricing for materials that we use in our daily operations and projects. Based on the bids received, no one company will be able to provide all the materials asked for in the quote. The quotes also allow a fair amount of versatility with respect to permitting our Supervisors choose the best option for their immediate needs, i.e. millings picked up north or south will be dependent upon their respective location. Historically, crews have had substantial travel time to get needed materials or wait until quotes were obtained, awarding this contract to all vendors will help alleviate the wait and increase production. If you agree, please pass your concurrence on to Purchasing so that the procedure may begin to make a formal recommendation of award.
