TOURIST DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT MEMORANDUM DATE: February 26, 2015 TO: Tourist Development Council FROM: Ed Schroeder, Tourist Development Department Director Charlotte Dunworth, Finance, Administration, & Compliance Manager SUBJECT: Monthly Reconciliation of Promotional Reserve Funds STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Per the adopted FY15 Strategic Marketing Plan: “Promotional Reserve funds may be appropriated in accordance with County approval authority and with concurrence of the TDC Chairman. A monthly reconciliation of the use of promotional reserve funds will be provided to the TDC and BCC for informational purposes.” BACKGROUND: Promotional reserve funds were allocated to Peter Mayer task order 160 for placement in Visit Florida Meetings E-Newsletter as well as placement in and creative development for Audubon Magazine. The task order was subsequently revised to correct the dollar amount for the Audubon Magazine publication. At its January 22 meeting, the TDC recommended a revised Strategic Marketing Plan which included the reallocation of $808 from the media campaign to promotional reserves. At its January 22 meeting, the TDC recommended displaying marketing billboards around the area at the International Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, GA. Promotional reserves in the amount of $20,338 remain available for appropriation. OPTIONS: N/A RECOMMENDATION TO BCC: N/A, for informational purposes only.
