GREATER FORT WALTON BEACH
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
.. helping businesses help themselves
April 26, 2013
Mr. Don R. Amunds
Chairman
Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners
1804 Lewis Turner Blvd., Suite 100
Fort Walton Beach, Fl 32547
Dear Commissioner Amunds:
On behalf of the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce, we are
honored to have the opportunity to submit a nominee from our organization to
participate on the Okaloosa RESTORE Act Advisory Committee.
Our chamber and our members are well educated on the RESTORE process and
are excited to know that we may have a representative in the process. We also
offer our chamber media and networking events as forums to share the
information with our membership and our County citizens.
We are very pleased to submit Dr. John F. “Jack” Azzaretto as our nominee. Our
chamber first met Jack Azzaretto in November 2006 when he moved to our area
as Vice Provost of the University of West Florida Emerald Coast. He
immediately became involved in all Chamber activities including our Government
Affairs Committee and Board of Directors. He has been an active Greater Fort
Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce chamber member from the first day in
town and still is very involved on all aspects of the chamber—and our
community. As you will see via the attached application and resume, his
leadership experience in local education and nonprofit organizations makes him a
perfect candidate for this committee.
Please feel free to contact either of us directly if you require additional
information.
