BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AGENDA REQUEST DATE: September 2, 2014 TO: Honorable Chairman and Members of the Board FROM: Rick Owen SUBJECT: Matrix Payment Approval DEPARTMENT: County Administrator BCC DISTRICT: All STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Payment of the May 1 to July 2, 2014 contract payment invoice from Matrix Design Group requires Board approval. BACKGROUND: Matrix Design Group is under contract by Okaloosa County to provide consulting services related to the RESTORE Act. As a result of an additional opportunity to submit environmental projects for consideration under the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation grant program, staff requested Matrix to provide additional consulting that would not exceed the total amount of the company’s contract. The attached invoice reflects this additional consulting service under Task 2, surpassing the total fee in this task by $2,675.18. Since Matrix did not expend the total amount in the project expenses line, this overage amount can draw from this line and not exceed to total contracted amount of $147,436. OPTIONS: Approve/Disapprove Matrix contract payment RECOMMENDATIONS: Staff recommends Board approve payment of the May 1 - July 2, 2014 invoice from Matrix Design Group.
