RESOLUTION 2009-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF FORT WALTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THREE
LOCAL AGENCY PROGRAM AGREEMENTS FOR FIVE ROAD
RESURFACING PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED THROUGH THE
AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROCEED WITH
PROCURING DESIGN/BUILD CONTRACTS FOR EACH PROJECT
UPON RECEIPT OF A NOTICE TO PROCEED FROM THE FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida as follows.
The City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, finds that it is in the best interests of the health,
safety, and welfare of its citizens to enter into three Local Agency Program Agreements with the
State of Florida Department of Transportation to fund five road resurfacing projects within the
City limits.
Therefore, Mike Anderson, Mayor, is hereby authorized and directed to execute and
deliver the agreements to the FDOT. The City Manager is further authorized to procure design
build contracts for each project.
A certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the FDOT along with the
executed agreement.
Adopted by the City Council of Fort Walton Beach on the 23 of June, 2009.
