than the other brands that failed to meet specifications. Our airports are already using
Tymco. So buying Tymco again will make training issues minimal. Plus Fleet Operation would
prefer to stay with a familiar brand that we know provides good quality and serviceability.

zan,
I affirm that Ingram Equipment's bid (Tymco 435) only had one exception, while the other
two bids had multiple exceptions. If you concur, we would also need Sunil's concurrence to go
along with the agenda request. The Tymco 435 is available on the Florida Sheriff's contract,
but the price is $125,004.08. By bidding this unit we've saved $4,526.00.

Good morning Jack,
We have received three (3) bids for a sweeper at the Destin Airport.
- Nite-Hawk Raptor. $119,268
- Victory DX. $99,898@
- Tymco 435. $120,478

I, along with Airport Maintenance, have reviewed the specifications on the bids of the
three sweepers that were submitted:
>
> * Nite-Hawk: Doesn't meet all the required specs and most others are less than what is
required. They mention having one engine with a PTO. We are unsure how reliable of a system
that is. We realize that it works on Bat Wings and tractors but sure how it works in place of
a pony engine. We have never heard of the Nite-Hawk sweeper product.
>
> *victory- They sub steel bolts in the hopper over welded seams. We believe the bolts will
rust and they will be very difficult to remove over time. Also they want to sub the rubber
tube for a stainless steel tube, Again for that particular item, sand will eventually eat
away at the stainless and quickly degrade over time. The rubber tube will be easier and less
expensive to replace. Also there appears to be a lot of subbing for the required standards.
We looked on line at this sweeper and it doesn't look like an ideal design. We have never
heard of the Victory sweeper product.
>
> *Tymco- Meets all the required specs and training. Okaloosa County Airports currently has
two Tymco sweepers and thus far has been maintenance free. Staff is thoroughly trained on
the Tymco product and familiar with its functionality. In addition, Fleet Maintenance is
very familiar with the Tymco product and has provided periodic maintenance on them for a
number of years.
Recommend purchasing the Tymco 435 sweeper for the Destin Airport.
Thank you.
