SUBJECT: Amendment and Renewal of Horizons Contract C08-1592-TDC

STATEMENT OF ISSUE: Horizons of Okaloosa County has requested an increase to their
annual contract C08-1592-TDC with Okaloosa County. This would increase the contract amount
from $84,410.88 to $88,924.00. The current contract expires September 30, 2013. This is a
request to renew the current contract for 1 year and to amend the current contract to reflect an
annual amount of $88,924.00. (See attached letter from Horizons of Okaloosa County)
BACKGROUND: Horizons of Okaloosa County provides parks bathroom cleaning services for
Okaloosa County. This contract provides cleaning services for Ross Marler Park, John C.
Beasley Park, First Beach Access Way, Second Beach Access Way, Third Beach Access Way
and Seventh Beach Access Way. The current, annual contract cost for these services was
established in 2008 in the amount of $84,410.88.
OPTIONS: Approve//Disapprove
RECOMMENDATIONS: Approve the 1 year renewal of contract C08-1592-TDC and amend
the contract to authorize a yearly contract amount of $88,924.00.
